Abadeh is located in the GASHGAI region of southern Persia. The colors and patterns are those of GASHGAI
and Shiraz which are very similar. Predominantly a deep cherry red dominates in combination with a blue
ink and beige. The hexagon, similar to Bidjar, brings with in the four corners beiges cloverleaf
similar motives, the characteristic of the typical Abadeh pattern. The Abadeh is i.R. Wool on cotton,
sometimes knt on wool, with a Knot density of about 250,000 knots/sqm established.
