The Gholtogh (Koltuk) has originally nomadic Kurdish influence. His near to Zanjan and Bidjar mirrors the very robust quality. Often they are manufactured in the form of smaller Carpets. The colors and patterns are evidence of Kurdish origin. Mostly dark tones dominate as black, rust, dark red with accents such as beige, yellow and green. Hexagonal medallions decorated with flowers in geometric based graphic design influence the image of the carpet. Wool on cotton at a node density of 100-200K kn/sqm .
